Whats going on in the shop 10/27/2019

I have thankfully been very busy with many different projects. As a 1 man shop its a very difficult thing to update the website, Quote work, Ship out the orders and make the products. I wish I could do more shop updates hopefully in the near future.

I have been busy with the stainless steel grill grates here are a couple i was able to get pictures of.

I also added a new product to the website a stainless steel grill grate lifter. These handy tools make it easy to lift your grill grate add more wood or stoke your fire. You can lift a grate loaded with food and not worry about it spilling.

My stainless steel flag pole holder brackets are flying off the self I cannot make them fast enough. The heavy duty construction and rock solid design make them a permanent fixture on the outside of your home. These are the first and last flag pole holder brackets you will ever buy.

I have been very busy with customer breakdowns. Seems like companies are pushing there equipment hard to make up for lost time during the recession and poor yields on there farms.

this Kubota R520S loader attachment mount was bent because the operator could not get off the machine to lock the attachment to the machine. replacement is not available and down time would be excessive. I removed the unit from the machine Friday morning and reinstalled the repaired unit Saturday morning so they can use the machine on Monday morning.

Next was a Tree Boom with a worn out hook mount needed to be repaired for employee safety. Removed worn out piece and fabricated new one from 3/4″ steel plate.

I have finally found a source for the quality stainless I use in the stainless steel grill grates I make and sell on the web site. Because of the delay in sourcing the right material i am very far behind. Hopefully the break down will calm down so I can get caught up. 18 hr days makes for a very long week, I am not complaining I just do not like being behind. Several other jobs were done that I did not get pictures of and some I did and will post later.

I want to apologizes again to the customers who have been patiently waiting for the stainless grill grate order to be filled.

Just finished up a small project for a local business. There gate wheels kept falling apart and they wanted something that would last. I made these brackets up and reused the old wheel that were still in great shape, saved the customer some money.

Next, my stainless steel flag holders are in stock and ready for immediate delivery, all sizes and angles. These make a great Christmas gift for the hard to shop for person. Give something original and hand made the receiver will remember it for a lifetime.

Along with several jobs for companies with none disclosure agreements that I cannot show pictures or talk about.

Here are some pictures from the aluminum carts:

Whats going on in the shop 2/25/2018

I have been busy in the shop on several customer projects, some are on non disclosure agreements that I cannot show you pictures of or talk about. Some of the items I can.  Bellow are a few that I can.

24″ X 36″ Steel grilling rack to use on a fire pit.

24″ x 36″ Steel grill grate for us on a fire pit.

Next I made this 22″ Stainless steel bar grate that the customer will replace his low quality factory supplied grate on his ceramic egg style grill. The customer has replaced his grill grates numerous times and is tired of buying low quality grates that rust out in less than a year.

This is a Stainless steel sear rack also for a ceramic egg style grill. This rack hangs by its feet to get the cooking surface right on the fire for searing steaks. Again the customer has purchased numerous grates and none last. This grate fits 22″ grills.

Not every job is a glamorous one, some are only about functionality. I plated this dump body because the rust had eaten its way threw the sides along the base of the walls. Customer wanted it repaired so to eliminate the liability of stone falling out of the truck on the road. The body is heavily rusted and rotted as seen in the pictures. The customer can now use the truck with out worry of rocks hitting cars.

Whats going on in the shop 6/19

Have been working on the web site, what a task that has been who knew it was so much work to build a web site. Well I think I have all the bugs worked out and hopefully I will start to get some much needed traffic.

I have just finished another batch for stainless steel flag pole holders.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported American made manufacturing including my business. When you buy from a small business like me the money goes to expanding my tools and paying my bills. I do not have 2 or three homes across the world.

I have began working on my new Stainless steel flag pole hope fully will be available before July 4.

New welding jig for the flag poles.

This is the jig I am making to do the welding on the new Stainless flag poles.

I have been working on some 304 stainless steel steak turners. I am grinding the points not forging them for safety. All my steak turners or meat turners have a sanitary polished finish so no bacteria or food can stay behind after washing by hand or in the dishwasher.

Last week was a good week for me, shipped many orders out now if I can just keep them coming in. My store at ETSY is really working out great, this web site however has yet to produce a single order very disappointing,it is looking like after the contract expires on the Word Press account I will be shutting it down financially it is not paying off.

Here are some pictures from the steak turners enjoy :

Whats going on in the shop update.

I wish I could say I was as busy as could be but thats not he case, business is very slow and sporadic, This week was a little busier than the last month or so. I keep manufacturing products and putting them up on my ETSY page and here on the web site. The reason I started this business is I have to take care of my wife and I cannot be away for any length of time. so that leaves out getting a job. people do not want to hire someone with problems such as mine constantly taking days off to take your wife to the doctors office just does not go over very well with a boss. I spent my life well up until the last 12 years working in paper mills, machine shops and foundries. But that all came to a stop when my wife got sick with something the doctors have never heard of and cannot treat, lucky us. I enjoy doing what I do welding, fabricating and machining. The truth is I do not know where I am going with little to no work here in Florida and the wife not willing to move I am in between a rock and a hard place, Bills keep pilling up, property taxes need to be paid, home owners  insurance need to be paid, medications need to be purchased the bills keep coming and there is no money for anything. I am sorry for ranting about my trouble there are people out there with more troubles than mine.

Update on the MrDeburr machine I picket up used did some work to it and did not pay a lot for it. The parts that are coming out of it are much better than expected. The stainless steel flag holder Brackets are coming out with a very nice finish I am working with my supplier MC Finishing on a recipe for polishing these to a mirror finish.

Thank you to the ones who help keep me working thank you.

Shipping out some Stainless Steel Flag Holder brackets

Preparing some more of my Stainless Steel Flag pole brackets to ship out tomorrow. Glade to see people buying made in America , Thank you.

I try to be as green as possible I use green bubble wrap that is environmentally friendly and is made with recycled plastic and degrades quickly in the land fill. I also do not use plastic tape i only use kraft paper tape, they are small things but in the end they add up.

I am working on stainless steel flag poles also to be available soon.

Thank you for your support,

Richard Gallagher

Shipping update

The web site has finally got the bugs worked out of the shipping you can  have your items shipped FedEx Home delivery or USPS Priority mail. I have international shipping via USPS international for the rest of the world.

I would like to thank you for your patience during this and look forward to many more upgrades and options with the web site in the future.

Shipping

I am working on installing FedEx shipping. FedEx home delivery is about the cheapest around for large bulky items. I am trying to make it as inexpensive to ship my items as I can. I charge you the customer what I pay I do not make any money on the shipping. Until the FedEx is complete you can still purchase items and have them shipped with USPS.

Thank you for your business, all the money from my sales go to purchasing food and clothing for my family, I am not a giant corporation, just a one man shop trying to pay my bills.

Thank you

Whats going on in the shop

I have been busy building stainless steel grill grates for the Weber 22 1/2″ kettle grill. I just started another production run of the stainless steel flag holder brackets, they are available here and on my Etsy store. I am trying to keep my customers up to date whats going on in the shop and to show them that I actually do make everything I sell. I am hoping to make enough money to purchase a video camera so I can video the work in the shop and up load it to YouTube.

Pictures from the flag Holder bracket run.
