This Gould GT-20 irrigation pump has a hole worn threw the side causing the pump to leak. The hole was caused by sand being sucked into the pump. The hole was cleaned out and tapered to good cast iron. Then the hole was brazed shut. The interior of the pump was machined flat after brazing. The drain hole was not needed as the pump does not need to be drained during cold weather. Once the casting repair was completed the pump was completely rebuilt and painted. Several sprinkler companies told the customer the pump was no good and must be replaced. All it need was a small repair and good as new.
