“America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.” —President Harry S. Truman.
I would like to Thank everyone who has supported us and allowed us to stay extremely busy during the pandemic Thank you.
Product availability:
I try to keep product made and instock so when you place your order I can get the item shipped out with in a day or two of ordering. Material is becoming difficult to get and is taking longer than expected to receive. that is causing delays in manufacturing of products for the website which intern is causing delays in shipping products out to you. Material prices have doubled and in some cases tripled I am trying not to raise my prices at this time. Hope fully the steel market will settle down and prices will start to drop but if they do not settle down i will be forced to raise my prices.
Shipping:
As of January 20th 2021 UPS has raised its rates 20%Â USPS has raised there rates 20% and not to be out done FedEx has also raised there rates by 20% and also now included a $50.00 heavy item fee for orders over 50 Lbs. I do not make anything on shipping in fact we lose money on shipping almost every order. The prices displayed on the website are the actual shipping prices.
I feel it is important to remain transparent with our customers and to keep them informed.
Thank you,
Rich Gallagher Owner/Fabricator
As of today 4/5/2020 I will no longer be accepting payments though Amazon Pay. I would normally wait 2 to 3 weeks to get my money from Amazon now they no longer will direct deposit the funds to the company checking account. I will still be accepting payments though PayPal and my secure credit card processing company. I do apologize for inconvenience that may have caused.Â
Sincerely,
Richard Gallagher Jr.Â

With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic escalating I will not be accepting any local work in the shop until further notice. I will still be fabricating grill grates and other items sold on the website as long as I can get material from my suppliers. If you have something you need fabricated you can still send me your prints and I will be more than happy to fabricate it and ship it out to you.Â
In this uncertain time I have to protect my family from this virus. One member of my family has a compromised immune system and I cannot afford to bring this virus home. I hope you understand. Indian River County has has its first confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) case this morning 3/20/2020.
I will keep you updated as much as possible.
Please follow what the CDC, WHO, NIH and your local officials tell you to do. IF we keep our distance we can fight this virus.
I received this information from the NIH regarding the Covid19
The virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is stable for several hours to days in aerosols and on surfaces, according to a new study from National Institutes of Health, CDC, UCLA and Princeton University scientists in The New England Journal of Medicine. The scientists found that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours, up to four hours on copper, up to 24 hours on cardboard and up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel. The results provide key information about the stability of SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19 disease, and suggests that people may acquire the virus through the air and after touching contaminated objects.Â

The shop has been steady with work, I have been so fortunate to have great customers to support my small shop Thank you. My stainless steel grill grates are very popular and are keeping me busy. Along with local work for business. Like I have said in other posts a lot of my work is done under NDA’s (None Disclosure Agreements) which means I cannot show pictures of the work of talk about the customer. A lot of this work would be great to show but I have to honor these agreements.
I am currently working to move my shop into the future with some new equipment purchase hopefully by the end of the year.
Here are some pictures of some recent work I have completed.
There is still time to get your orders in for delivery before Christmas.
I have been busy building my custom stainless steel grill grates. stainless steel flag holder brackets along with work that comes in the shop on a daily basis.
Here is a couple pictures of a 29 round stainless steel grill grate that just shipped.
I also make coal grates for your fire pits and grills. Here is a 28″ round steel coal grate.
The first week of December will be the latest I will be able to take custom grill grate orders to be delivered by Christmas. So order your grates today to be sure you have them for the holidays.
I am sorry I am very busy preparing for hurricane Dorian which is a Category 4 hurricane 150 Mph winds,my location is in the path of this very dangerous hurricane. As of August 29 until further notice I will not be quoting grill grates. Orders that have been placed will be filled as time allows on my end. I will be concentrating my efforts on local business who will be doing the hurricane clean up. As time allows I will continue work to fabricate orders but emergency repairs will take top priority. Please be understanding during this time, all customers are important to me. Once the storm is done and clean up has been completed I will be back to normal day to day work.
Please note I am not only a grill grate builder I am a Job Shop my day to day work is Heavy equipment repair, Hydraulic repair, Fabrication and Machine shop. I service construction, agriculture and marine.
Thank you.
The summer has been very busy and I would like to thank all my customers for that. Thank you.
Grill grate orders have been keeping me busy I have not had much time to get pictures but I have a few to share. These grates are for a 16″ Ranger Smoker from Horizon BBQ Smokers. This was a complete set of replacement stainless steel grates. The customer was not happy with the low quality grates supplied with there smoker.
I have also been very busy with several aluminum fabrications jobs for local business. Two of my customer’s have a none disclosure agreement with me so I cannot show the pictures of that work. But I have a local nursery I am making an aluminum potting table for them.
I just finished up a large Aluminum fabrication project for a local plant nursery. This all aluminum potting table and hopper is replacing there aging wooden unit. The hopper will hold enough potting soil to last them all day long and the table gives them enough room to work. Along with lasting them a lifetime.
I have been very busy with customer breakdowns. Seems like companies are pushing there equipment hard to make up for lost time during the recession and poor yields on there farms.
this Kubota R520S loader attachment mount was bent because the operator could not get off the machine to lock the attachment to the machine. replacement is not available and down time would be excessive. I removed the unit from the machine Friday morning and reinstalled the repaired unit Saturday morning so they can use the machine on Monday morning.
Next was a Tree Boom with a worn out hook mount needed to be repaired for employee safety. Removed worn out piece and fabricated new one from 3/4″ steel plate.
I have finally found a source for the quality stainless I use in the stainless steel grill grates I make and sell on the web site. Because of the delay in sourcing the right material i am very far behind. Hopefully the break down will calm down so I can get caught up. 18 hr days makes for a very long week, I am not complaining I just do not like being behind. Several other jobs were done that I did not get pictures of and some I did and will post later.
I want to apologizes again to the customers who have been patiently waiting for the stainless grill grate order to be filled.
For the last 4 weeks I have been trying to order the Stainless steel used to make my grill grates. Several orders of material have been received and sent back to the steel mills. The material is substandard and welding and polishing is impossible. I have sent samples of the material to other suppliers around the country trying to obtain the proper material required for the grill grates. As of 4/14/2019 I still have no answers. I have been told by a couple of steel mills it’s because of the government tariffs but I do not buy that. What does tariffs have to do with substandard material quality the finished material is made here in the USA. The mill I have purchased the stainless rod from for several years suddenly does not produce the rod I have been buying.
I have no control over when and if the high quality stainless I use will be available.Â
I do applicate the patience of my customers and I do understand that you have spent a lot of money for a high quality item and you have not received it. I will not produce my high quality grill grates with low quality substandard material. If I cannot source the proper material in the next 7 to 10 days I will be issuing full refunds to all my customers who have grill grates on order.
I am very sorry for the delay and apologize. This is not anything I can control.
I have been extremely busy with local customers the last 2 months. As a job shop I do all kinds of work from welding, fabrication, hydraulic repairs & trouble shooting, to tractor repair and construction equipment repair along with local processors of citrus and plant nurseries. basically if its broke I fix it. I never know what I will be doing from day to day. Most days I am able to work on jobs in progress in the shop but lately I have been getting more and more emergency calls to come get there business back up and running. that slows down shop production.
I am about a month behind on grill grate fabrication. I would like to thank the people who have been very patient during the long wait. There are a few people who rather be impatient and rude and I am sorry I am only one person. I cannot go any faster than I am currently going and I have asked for there patience and thats about all I can do. Last week I received a large order of stainless rod for grill grates and had to send it back because it was unusable. After going back and forth with the steel mill there rep came to the shop and we sat down and discussed the reasons the stainless is no good to me. The answer I was given is it is due to the terrifs. Well that is not an answer I want to hear or do my customers. I was called Friday late after noon and was told a small part of the order will be delivered on Monday by pick up truck, the other 4800 feet will ship the end of next week. At least I can get going on some of the orders that have been waiting for a long time.
I will not use material that is not to my standards if the customer has to wait a little while longer then so be it. I will not ship out poor quality products.
All of my customers are very important to me and I try my best to get all orders filled in a timely manner. Being in my type of business if I get an emergency call I have to drop what I am doing and go get that customer back up and running.
The 2019 year has started off very rocky, but has steadily regaining its pace. I have been busy with local customers work. I am currently working on a Aluminum potting table with soil hopper for one of the local nurseries. This potting table is a large project and I am taking my time on it I do not believe in rushing a job just to get it done. This potting table will be a focal point for the nursery business and seen by many customers. I have also been busy with several repairs.
One repair was for a BigTex 70SR Dump trailer the trailer has not worked since it was purchased new. The company called me into see if I could find out what was going on. The trailer dealer even replaced the hydraulic power unit and the trailer still did not work. I looked at the truck and trailer and discovered one problem right away the truck did not have any power to the trailer plug to recharge the battery. The second problem was the replacement pump was no good. I contacted the pump manufacture KTI in California and told them what I found with there pump and they send me out a rebuild kit for free. Once the pump was rebuilt the pump was installed in the trailer. Fixed the wiring on the truck the dump trailer now works like it should have from the factory.
Another quick repair I was able to get a few pictures of was a fork carriage for a loader that damaged. A wheel loader backed over the fork carriage and broke the guard off the top of the carriage.

I have been trying to get caught up on work in the shop and to get products for the web site made. My flag holder stock has been replenished for the holiday season. Thanks to hurricane Michael $9,000.00 in Aluminum from Texas got destroyed luckily only the trailer was destroyed the driver is OK thank God. Customer not happy with a week delay in there job getting done but they are OK with it as long as no one got hurt. Vendor is working over time to get that material to me so I can get my work done and make my customers happy.
I have been busy in the shop trying to catch up from losing almost the whole month of August because of the eye infection I had. But I am back to work and working 7 days a week catching up. I have not had much time to take pictures of whats been going on. I have several large fabrication jobs going and more coming up a lot of Aluminum work. I have a large stock of my stainless steel flag holders ready for the holiday season get your now before there gone.
I did get a couple of pictures of a custom grill grate and warming rack I made last month for a customer in Texas.
It arrived in perfect condition - it was made with such care, and precision. It literally snugly pressure fits onto the fire ring.
Amazing that this worked out so perfectly; your work is impeccable!

I have been working with a local nursery to design them a prototype cart for there operation, they need a light cart that can move plants from one part of there operation to the next and be comfortable for the workers so there not bending over all day long. They contacted several other companies to do this but they never got back to them. I was called and went over the next day to talk to them and see what they were looking for drew a quick sketch with a quote and they said build it. I pride myself on fast response, accurate quotes, quality work and done on time on budget no matter what it takes. Here are some pictures of that build once complete I will post the finished cart pictures.
